Activity by the River
There has been a lot of activity by the moorings at Red House this Monday as the River Ouse threatens to flood for the first time in a while. A new mooring point has had to be installed because the new fence ran over a mooring rope which would have resulted in the fence being lifted up in the event of a flood. The point has been placed away from the fence and closer to the river so that rope no longer runs across the bridleway. Boat owners were also there to check moorings and adjust the positions of their flood boat in case they needed to row across to the pontoons when the river level goes over the bank.
