Moorhens on the Fish Ponds
After all the recent wet weather it would be tempting to say it was only good for ducks and moorhens. However the pair of moorhens on the fish ponds have had a tough time after their first brood was lost in early May when the pond levels rose above their nest site. They wasted no time in resiting their nest and have hatched at least 4 more chicks which all seem to be doing well.
