Back in the Grid
Back in November 2014, we installed a 4kW array of solar panels on the Big Barn to help power the water distribution plant and, in the summer, the pool pumps. They got off to a good start, with a reasonable return, but lately they have been causing nuisance tripping whenever there was a suggestion of dampness in the air. After much investigation and the discovery of various faults, it was decided that a complete re-installation was needed.
Last week the new panels were connected to the new inverter and it was a relief to see trouble free electricity being generated again.
