Blackpool comes to Red House
While doing some road repairs to even out some bumps on Redhouse Lane, the workers stepped aside to let a car get through. It came to a stop and the window opened. "Thanks for doing that, we've got Blackpool Tower in the back!" Slightly bemused, it all became clear to the workers when they returned to Red House. It turned out that the car's occupants, who were staying in The Garden House, were competing in the British Sugar Craft Guild competition being held at Sheriff Hutton Village Hall, north of York. The team are from the Blackpool and Fylde Branch of the Guild and had entered an amazing panorama of Blackpool (including the tower). Congratulations are in order, as they won Gold and Best in Class.
