Beningbrough Hall through a Long Lens
As the trees turn to leaf, we will soon lose our view of Beningbrough Hall which is quite visible from the drive and caravan site in the winter and early spring. It is only about half a mile, as the crow flies (or the canoe paddles), from Red House but, because of the lack of bridges across the River Ouse, it is a 12 mile road trip using the York ring road (downstream) or Aldwark toll bridge (upstream). We still get the occasional driver arriving at Red House asking for directions to the National Trust property.
