Fence Repair
We've lost count of the number of floods we have had this season but they've certainly taken their toll on the fences by the river. The Ings field has been out of action for the mares after a 40m section of the fence at the far end had been ripped out of the ground and flipped over the hedge behind it. It was saved by a mature hawthorn bush that held the rest in place, saving us having to retrieve over 100m of it from the plantation downstream. The picture shows Simon and Penny carefully lifting the wire back over the hedge after it had been removed from the posts and rails.
