The River in Flood
A continuous train of Atlantic lows has finally caused a flood of the River Ouse at Red House. Levels have reached 5.86m above the datum which is just less than a metre below the top of the normal range. A drop in the wind speed allowed us to get our drone in the air to show how the flood affects the fields next to the river. As usual, the horses are not too perturbed about the loss of grazing area. In fact, the water provides them with added entertainment while splashing about in the shallows.
