Caterpillar Hatch
A few people got a shock today while walking past the oak tree known as Abel and they were confronted by these groups of very large (about 70mm long) caterpillars clustered on the end of some of the branches. They appear to be buff-tip moth caterpillars which can irritate your skin when touched. Presumably they are also poisonous to birds as they were so visible.
