Haymaking in September
For the first time ever we have cut and baled hay in September. We took in another 200 bales from the second cut of the Far Ings Field on an overcast, autumnal day which was so unlike the usual blazing heat in which hay is traditionally harvested. As usual the younger generation were roped in to stack the trailer after they got back from school.
