Red House Water Just Gets Better
We now have an improved fitration system for our water supply. The water from our borehole is already filtered naturally by the sandstone bedrock but this stone contains a lot of soluble iron which, although non-toxic, could taint the water's flavour. Over the years we have gradually improved the way in which this iron is removed. The latest development involves a new aeration tank and pump that will make the two filters downstream of it work more efficiently. The aeration oxidises the iron so that it forms particles which are easier to remove before the water goes into the supply. Thanks to H and H Water Engineers for their help in the installation.
