Swapping Horses for Swans
Storm Dennis has been and gone and, fortunately, Red House was fairly untroubled by events, in spite of the dire warnings in the press. The River Ouse rose to 6.44m above mean level which meant the usual flooding of ings fields and a small invasion of swans into the paddocks behind the cottages. The horses are stuck inside for a few days to allow the pasture to dry out as the fields have had a lot of rain and river on them in recent days!
