Tree Planting on the Ings
Back in the winters of 2014 and 2015 we began planting the Ings Wood down by the river and, so far, 2000 mixed species have been put in by friends and residents of Red House. They are growing well but we still haven't planted all the area available. As luck would have it, Tim Gordon is doing his Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award and wanted to do some voluntary work. Having had some experience in the first phase of the planting, he was keen to finish off what we had started. This weekend, with the help of his yonger brother, Jan, he put in 45 oaks and maples. He will be busy over the next few weekends planting another 150.
