School Prizegiving 1933
We have just acquired some photos of the Red House School Sports Day and Prizegiving in July 1933. This picture shows Canon F. Harrison, Rector of Moor Monkton, delivering his speech before handing out the prizes. He spoke of the long tradition of Red House and its historical setting and how these attributes gave such an advantage and inspiration to the pupils. Harrison very kindly stood in for the intended speaker, General Sir Ronald Charles, who was unfortunately taken ill shortly before the event.
