Buzzard Overhead
An increasingly common sight over Red House are the buzzards that drift lazily in the wind over the fields. It is almost certain that there is a nesting pair in Redhouse Wood as there have been sightings of them flying across the tracks there. This is all good news for the health of the wildlife in the area. the large number of birds of prey (buzzards, tawny owls, barn owls, little owls, kestrels and sparrow hawks) that we see indicate a good supply of small mammals which thrive in the grassland and hedgerows on the estate.
