Storm Damage
The storm of the 12th of February produced winds of up to 70mph over Red House and, not having had such strong winds for many years, we were expecting some damage around the Estate. Several slates and tiles were lost from houses and outbuildings and this kept the estate staff busy last week getting them all fixed before the rain on Friday afternoon. The tree damage was limited to one of the poplars by the Yew Walk which lost its top half. Unfortunately this took out a large part of a yew tree and damaged the old stone steps below.
