Red House from the West (1930)
This is a watercolour of Red House painted by Evelyn J Powys, the school art teacher, in May 1930. It was found in a box of items donated to Red House by the son of Reg Godfrey who was the School Chauffeur fom 1931-9. When he was married to Flora Godfrey in 1938, the painting was given to them by the staff of Red House. The view is from the Moat Field, across the drive to the western end of the main building and shows the newly built "headmaster's bungalow" on the right.
