You can lead a horse to water
This picture captures an unusual part of the training for the cross country activity during one of our Riding Holidays when a lot of horses and riders get to stand in the water jump at the same time. Some of the horses are bit reluctant to go into the water jump so many enticements are used including leading them in with more enthusiastic horses or distracting them with some lush grass. In this case Shirley Bold, the instructor, appears to have used both tactics with success.
