One way of keeping warm in the Chapel

A Merry Christmas from Red House
This weekend we celebrated the start of Christmas with our annual festival of lessons and carols in the Chapel. As usual we were accompanied by "Something Else", the brass quintet, whose playing inspired some hearty singing. The lessons were read by friends and residents of the estate, the two youngest being six years old. This was the first time in three years that there was no snow outside but at least the Chapel was its usual December temperature (it has no heating!). Afterwards we retreated to the warmth of the Garden House and enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies and hot chocolate.
