Festival of Carols and Lessons
Members of The Centurion Showband provided the music for our Festival of Seven Lessons and Carols that was held at Red House Chapel on December the 22nd. The event was a huge success with the chapel providing the perfect setting and the congregation singing so heartily to well known christmas carols. After the service mulled wine, cocoa and mince pies were served in front of the main building. The service would not have been possible without the support of residents and friends of the estate who helped with the readings, cleaning and decoration of the chapel. A special mention must go to the Hughes family: Tim for suggesting it, providing the tent and cooking facilities and playing so well, Trish for decorating the chapel and cooking the mince pies and Brian for helping in all departments. This was the first time we have held this service since the school closed six years ago but we will be making this an annual event from now on and the band has already been booked for next year.
