Repairing the Bridlepath
A team from the North Yorkshire County Council Countryside Services came to Red House to repair the bridlepath that runs along the River Ouse. The damage was caused by the flooding of recent years which had washed away parts of the river bank and there were two points that were becoming dangerous for riders. The team, led by Ranger Ben Jackson, was made up of volunteers Brian, Pete and Ray, and they made quick work of building revetements and laying down rubble and hardcore (with a bit of help from the estate's tractor)
