A Long Eared Bat
This little fellow was spotted taking a daytime stroll along the floor of the Victorian Stables. After causing some concern, he could easily have been trodden on by a passing horse, he decided to climb up a door frame at which point this picture was taken. He later flew off to his roost in a tree or hedge somewhere. Bats are a common sight in the evenings at Red House with their favourite hunting grounds being the Oval and Old Stable Yard.
