Boy on the Stable Arch!
Megginson is pictured precariously atop the stable arch. This is quite a feat of daring as the arch is about 7 metres high and the route up is along the coping stones angled at 45 degrees. According to Mr Drinkall, who saw this prank achieved only twice, it was done without the knowledge of the staff. He himself did make an attempt at it but, wisely, ducked out after he had only managed a few feet of the slope.
