The Brown Boys by the River Ouse
The young Brown Boys, Donald and Lawrence, hug one of the Red House cows on the banks of the River Ouse. Judging by the swimming ring on the peg, this was the site of the senior swim for the school boys which was at the end of the Lower Orchard Field (now known as the Landing Field).
