Entrance from the Stable Yard The garden and west facing facade

This is a semi-detached cottage tucked away in the victorian stable yard. It has excellent views over the moated site of the original 'Rede House' to the west and the main bedroom overlooks the River Ouse. It was originally one of the 18th century estate workers' lodgings and part of it may even have been a hayloft. In the 1990's it was extensively upgraded but retains many of the original features including exposed beams throughout and two fireplaces. It has recently been double glazed throughout and had improved insulation installed.
This charismatic cottage has a stunning location. It is surrounded on two sides by fields grazed by the estate's horses and sheep and it is very close to the old pond known as "The Ducker" which is populated by ducks and moorhens. With all this it provides a fantastic rural getaway.
The accommodation comprises hallway, kitchen with larder, through living room with multi fuel stove, large landing with space for desk/computer, 2 good sized bedrooms and bathroom with power shower over the bath. It has shared oil fired central heating and is fully double glazed to the latest standards. There is also a small brick built store adjacent to the property.

The shared (with the next door property but with individual controls) oil fired central heating with its modern boiler help to make the running expenses of this cottage very reasonable.
