Down by the River
While doing some repairs to the river moorings, the maintenance team was able to pause and soak in the beautiful, autumn colours as the sun came out and lit up the willows on the north bank of the Ouse. It's definitely a different world down here with the only river traffic being gulls, herons or cormorants drifting lazily at higher altitudes and the occasional, raucous, lower level passing of a skein of geese, unsettled by nothing in particular.
