Crown Lifting the Limes
As you enter Red House along the drive, there are 22 lime trees planted along the road, creating an avenue which slowly thins out to reveal the main building. Left to themselves, they would grow straight across the drive and block the route through! Hence, after a few years of mild trimming back, this year we have crown lifted all of them to give more light to the drive and space for the arable field on the other side of the fence.
