... And The Harvest Begins
The combine harvester moved into Butcher Field (adjacent to the Estate) this morning, to begin the wheat harvest. This is all quick work compared to hay making, as the corn is taken away as it is cut and the straw will be baled in one pass - no need for tedding and rowing up. The Red House baler will move into this field later on in the week, to get some straw bales for the horses' bedding.
