The first hatch of Swallows
At this time of year, the number of barn swallows flying around the Estate grows quickly as the fist generation of fledglings take to the air. It is a wonderful sight to see a mini swarm of them flying under the sycamores in the Moat Field. It does have the downside that cars parked near stables with nests in have to be washed a lot more frequently.
