Storm Darragh and the Rapid Response Team
We had a wild weekend as Storm Darragh flew past. High winds and heavy rain on the Saturday took out the estate sign at the main gate and toppled a section of fence along the drive. All seemed quieter by Sunday, so we were surprised by the sound of the copper beech tree in the Moat Field cracking and falling at about 12.30pm. Its top branches flattened a section of the fence causing an obstruction for drivers, so the Red House rapid response team leapt into action. By 1.30pm the drive was clear and all the brash laid out in the Moat Field. Only one car was inconvenienced!
