Apple Juicing
This weekend was the second Apple Juicing event of the season. The Moor Monkton Village Association brought their juicing equipment to Red House and set it up under the gazebo, in front of the main house. Business was brisk and there was non-stop action at the mulching, pressing, decanting and pasteurising stations. There was more activity in the estate orchard where guests from the holiday lets and caravan site were invited to do a bit of scrumping before taking their buckets of apples to the juicing tent.
The two days were a great success, not just as a fund raising event, but also as a social occasion. There's nothing better than a group activity to get people nattering!
