Mirror in the Flood
The River Ouse raised itself out of its banks this week and gave us our first proper flood since January. The water level reached 6m above normal which meant the Ings fields were all submerged. The estate was largely unaffected, all that was needed were 3 days of grazing management for the mares.
The picture shows the old oak, that grows by the ditch between the Hill and Ings fields, perfectly mirrored in the still flood water.
