A Celebration of Tansy Plant and Beetle
The banks of the River Ouse provide a perfect environment for wild tansy plants to flourish but it's been a tough summer for them, with high temperatures and very little rainfall. These plants provide the only breeding zones for the Tansy Beetle which has a rare population at Red House. We have done an inspection of the river bank and have found that all is well. There are 3 main patches of Tansy, two of which have thriving populations of beetles on them.
