Apple Juicing 2017
The Moor Monkton Village Association held one of their Apple Juicing Events at Red House this weekend. Fears of the apples being ripe too early after the warm spring were unfounded as queues quickly formed at the juicing tent. There was a steady flow of customers from 11am to 3pm on the Saturday and Sunday. Well over 200 litres of juice were produced with constant activity at the pulping, pressing and bottling stations in the tent in front of the mian building. The pasteurisers in the Garden House were in constant use until 5pm each evening. All money raised will go to the association. The final event for 2017 takes place on the weekend of the 28th and 29th of October.
