Show Jumping Presentation
Last week saw the final show for 2010 of the Red House Show Jumping Competition and Brenda Hall was there to present the trophies. Grace Addyman, riding Maggie, won the Peter Hall cup after some good results in the final few weeks. Grace has been competing for several years and has usually been in the running, so it must have been particularly satisfying for her to finally secure the trophy. Sally Rogers was winner of the Red House Beginners Trophy. Her consistency and speed in the jump-offs were the secret to her commanding lead in the points table.
This has been a very successful season for the shows and, for the first time in many a year, none of the 12 events were cancelled by the weather although we did get wet on a few occasions. In total there were 563 entries for all classes, of which 51 rider/horse combinations won rosettes.
