In 2008 Red House Show Jumping Competitions became a qualifier for the Shires Equestrian Unaffiliated Show Jumping Championships which are to be held at Northallerton EC on 26th October 2008. There are two classes set at jump heights of 2ft 6in and 2ft 9in with riders in Junior (under 17 as at 1st January 2008) and Senior groups. It costs £10 to register each rider/horse combination and only points won up to 14 days prior to registration will be eligible. For full details and rules visit the Redpin Events site. |
The 2009 season will continue up to Wednesday 26th August and that evening's competition will be followed by the presentation of the Peter Hall Cup (for the Horse and Rider who have accumulated the most points in the Novice, Pre-Novice and Beginners Classes during the season) and The Red House Beginners Trophy for the Horse and Rider who have accumulated the most points in the Beginners Class during the season. |

Compete in the very relaxed atmosphere in our two grass arenas where the young and the not so young can battle it out or just turn up for a bit of fun. These evenings provide you with an excellent chance to train, learn, increase confidence and gain competitive experience (and even win some money!). Classes are not too big so there is little waiting around for your turn. Each class (except Clear Round) consists of a first round where only faults are taken into account followed by a timed jump-off if required. |
The large arena (Arena 1) has colourful wooden jumps with extensive use of fillers. The smaller arena (Arena 2) has plastic jumps and fillers are used also, although in this arena we can take the fillers away for the clear round if required. |
