Summer Evening Show Jumping at Red House

This season riders will be competing for the Peter Hall Cup and the Red House Beginners Trophy. Please note that the Shires Equestrian Championship is not taking place this year.

Compete in the very relaxed atmosphere in our two grass arenas where the young and the not so young can battle it out or just turn up for a bit of fun. These evenings provide you with an excellent chance to train, learn, increase confidence and gain competitive experience (and even win some money!). Classes are not too big so there is little waiting around for your turn. Each class (except Clear Round) consists of a first round where only faults are taken into account followed by a timed jump-off if required.

The large arena (Arena 1) has colourful wooden jumps with extensive use of fillers. The smaller arena (Arena 2) has plastic jumps and fillers are used also, although in this arena we can take the fillers away for the clear round if required.

The 2010 season will continue up to Wednesday 25th August and that evening's competition will be followed by the presentation of the Peter Hall Cup, for the Horse and Rider who have accumulated the most points in the Open, Novice, Pre-Novice Classes and Beginners Class during the season, and The Red House Beginners Trophy, for the Horse and Rider who have accumulated the most points in the Beginners Class during the season.
