And so the rains came!
We had been wanting a bit of rain recently as the gardens were getting dry and, this Sunday, nature duly obliged. Almost 2 inches fell in the afternoon which the soil, in most places, gratefully soaked up. Unfortunately, as can be seen from the photo, the "all weather" arena drainage could not cope and has taken a couple of days to clear. One stable was flooded, the hay crop got a battering and the grass show jump arena was too soggy to be used for the show jumping this week. Otherwise we are back to normal!
