Paddling Pool Mayhem
In scenes reminiscent of "It's A Knockout", the lawns around the pool are being covered in paddling pools but this is not for fun and games! The swimming pool is having its 10 year refurbishment during which the plaster work is repolished and tiles scrubbed down. This requires the pool to be completely emptied of its 215 cubic metres of water. As Red House gets its water from a borehole it will take a long time to refill from the poolside tap, so we have decided to save as much water as possible by pumping about half of it into 13 large paddling pools. This is a hazardous venture as the pools can be easily upset causing a major breach and flood!
