Seasonal Frost
The Arctic seems to have come to Red House over the last few days with temperatures struggling to go above freezing. The ice crystals on the outside of the Garden House windows overlooking the croquet lawn have made interesting patterns on the glass.
The cold provides the headache of frozen taps in the yards and stables which is quickly soved with warm water from the kettle. A bigger worry are the water supplies in the outbuildings such as the swimming pool boiler room and borehole pump house. These need to be monitored every few hours to detect frozen pipes before they become a problem. In the meantime the frosty landscape is a joy to behold.
