The Moor Monkeys and Pop-up Pub
On Friday the 30th of June Red House hosted the Moor Monkton Pop-up Pub in the Garden House and on the croquet lawn. When this was originally arranged, last November, we had visions of a beautiful summer evening so people would be playing tennis or croquet and even going for a swim. In reality we were treated to an evening of cool, overcast, drizzly weather that perhaps put off a lot of people. So, after a poor early turnout, the very new look Moor Monkeys were instructed to play their set. The band would like to think that it was the sound of the music that eventually brought out a considerable crowd and the evening finally went with quite a buzz. In fact, the band had to replay their set as most people had missed it first time round!
