Red House Chickens
Our little flock of 16 chickens have just emerged from their indoor lodgings as the threat of avian flu seems to be subsiding. Red House is in a low risk zone, although we are very aware of the abundant local bird population and proximity of the river and lagoon, both of which increase the likelihood of infection from the wild birds. Hence they are being let out for a few hours each day before being led back to their perches in the old stable building.
