Garden Wall Repairs
One of Red House's striking features is its 17th century garden walls that surround the formal gardens to the south of the main building and also the old kitchen garden to the east. The 12 foot high wall that runs south from the Garden House is most exposed to the weather and the lime joints at the bottom were beginning to crumble. Work has now begun to replace this loose brickwork, then the top copings will be removed and reinstated before extensive repointing is carried out.
