Growing Well
Now the floods have receded we can get down to the Far Ings Fields and inspect the new woodland that we began planting 2 years ago. It appears to be going very well, the tallest trees are reaching 10 feet high and looking healthy. A few stakes and guards have been moved by the waters but these will be replaced very soon. So far we have planted 2000 willows, alder, oak, cherry, maple, birch and a variety of shrubs; this year we are planning to plant another 500.
