Cross Country Jump Building
It has been a busy time at Red House over the last couple of weeks: the summer paddocks have been readied for the horses to move into, the cross country course has received much attention and the show jumps are being built, repaired and painted. The picture shows the building of the new hanging log in the Deer Park section of the cross country course. This jump replaces the old parallel poles which were jump 4 in the intermediate course. The logs come from the poplar tree in the Games Field which fell in the strong winds at the beginning of April. We have also built a rather spectacular ramp in the Hill Field which provides an obstacle for all 3 courses.
