Star Gazing with Geese.
The clear skies of Monday night this week turned out to be a stargazers paradise at Red House as an almost full "supermoon" rose over the river coinciding with the perseids meteor shower radiating out of the north east sky. A small group of people gathered on the Oval armed with cameras and telescopes and much fun was had counting the shooting stars and looking at close-ups of the moon's surface through the estate's telescope. Best photo of the evening was taken by Peter Edwards (staying on the CL Site) who spotted a skein of geese fly in front of the moon and managed to get the picture shown above.
