Building Bridges
Richard Hill of RHR Engineering is currently building a new walkway for the Red House pontoon on the River Ouse. The walkway will form a bridge from the bank to the pontoon providing a much improved access to the moorings. It is being made in two 6m sections to make transporting it to the river easier. After being bolted together it will be hinged to the bank to allow it to move as the river level changes. The pontoon is also being spruced up with new decking and improved bouyancy.
