Christmas is Coming
Red House has been gearing up for Christmas in the last week. On Thursday we held a Festival of Lessons and Carols in the Chapel which was very well attended. Tom Dewey accompanied the congregation on the organ for the carols and lesson readers, made up of residents and members of the livery yard, led us through the Christmas Story. Even though the weather was so mild, it was still very necessary to serve mulled wine and mince pies in the Garden House afterwards.
On Saturday there were more pre-Christmas celebrations as the Red House based Moor Monkees (pictured) performed at the Moor Monkton Christmas Party. They played their most extensive set yet which meant subjecting the audience to over 90 minutes of contemporary and Christmas songs. Respite was provided in the form of food, raffles and a quiz.
