Autumn down on the Ings
Autumn is well and truly upon us as the leaves turn and the country colours slip from green to brown to grey. The weather in the last week has been less sure of itself, wildly ranging from cold, driving rain to glorious, warm sunshine. The rain has brought the River Ouse up and the Red House Ings Reservoir (pictured) is also spreading across the fields although we are not expecting any major flood. Work at Red House has been focused on getting jobs done before the frosts set in and preparing the winter grazing fields for the imminent move of the horses.
