A Good Year for Buttercups
After a cold spring and a dry start to the summer, it seems to be the buttercups which are growing best in the fields around Red House. They provide a beautiful yellow carpet in June but do no favours for the pasture, especially as the horses will not eat them. As spraying is not an option in the summer paddocks we have had to use the topper to remove the plants before they turn to seed.
