Wild Camping at Red House
The Bank Holiday Weekend brought fine weather to Red House which meant not only a full Caravan CL Site but also some camping for the residents as well. A group of tents and a caravan were set up at the far end of the Hill Field and 7 children and 6 adults camped out in the warm evening. The highlight for the children was the camp fire which was made up of wood collected by them from the hedgerows. Marshmallows were toasted and "poking sticks" burned. A beautiful sunset behind the buildings of Red House was followed immediately by a stunning full moon rise in the east. Herons, owls and swifts were among the many birds spotted in this idyllic corner of the Estate.
