Eve in the Snow
The build up to spring has paused as an icy blast from the east has taken hold. Snow flurries now cover the landscape with a dusting of white as this view of Eve (one of the ancient oaks) and the bonfire behind shows.
We took advantage of the dry weather in the past week by installing more field drainage in the Deer Park to remove the puddles that still remained. Many tree stumps have also been removed from various locations and the fish ponds have had another phase of scrub clearance. The resultant bonfire has provided a good opportunity for the workers to keep warm outside.
